Hand gestures visually express thoughts as body language, and different hand gestures indicate various thoughts and emotions. Actors incorporate hand gestures so as to visually present their mood to the audience, as the face expression of the actor is often to far away to be seen.

SSR Reflection

Today I read Sun Tsu's Art of War, which is actually pretty interesting, considering the fact the only reason I read it was because it was a free book on my phone. It talked about various things that are applicable to life as well as war, such as (I'm paraphrasing here) 

"When fighting a short-tempered general, have your soldiers shout insults at him; when fighting an impatient general, wait for him to make a mistake. Thus, to exploit your enemy's weaknesses is to win the war."

"A clever general not only beats the enemy, he beats the enemy with ease. A mediocre general wins wars with great difficulty, a clever general wins them handily."

"Supply lines are the most important aspect in the Art of War. To take one cart of the enemy's supplies is to receive 10 carts of one's own supplies."

"Sieges warfare never works. Sieges are often long and drawn out, costing supplies and lowers morale of the aggressors. A good general always captures cities quickly and cleverly, and never resorts to sieges."

Poetry Slam Reflection

I honestly didn't know what poem to read for the poetry slam. I felt that most of my poems were pretty mediocre, and what I felt was my best one was potentially offensive, so I didn't risk reading it. Overall, I think I did well, could have done better, bla bla bla, stuff to improve. Anyway it was an interesting assignment, would do it again.

My experience helping the special ed kids was interesting, and gave me a new perspective about human emotions. As I interacted with them, they were in ecstasies over the most superficial things.  Never before have I seen people so happy and so involved in something so trivial and naïve. It shed on new light on my concept of happiness. True happiness is not having something, such as a cool phone, a cute dog, an awesome friend, or a flashy car. It is finding something you love, something you enjoy doing so much that when you wake up you are so excited that you literally fly out the door. These people have found their passion long before we ever will. We should not look down upon these people; we should not even feel any sympathy towards them. We should envy them, as these are the kinds of people that are truly happy.

New years resolution and semester goals

I didn't really plan to have a new year's resolution, but apparently its my homework now so I guess I have to.
My new year's resolution this year is to do something that is actually useful. I have built a lot of things in the past such as cardboard models of various movie robots such as an AT-AT walker from Star Wars, a tank, a laser cannon also from Star Wars, and a transformers costume that actually transformed. None of these, however, have any practical uses per se, so I aim to make something that actually has some practical uses.
If this resolution is like any other resolution it probably will be broken in the next, like, 10 seconds, even though I don't know how that is possible.

The Great Squealer Speaks!

Squealer's reasoning is flawed here. To properly explain it, lets just say that every animal on the farm is extremely selfish and is only concerned of his/her own interests. If all the animals on the farm had a say in the decision making process, everyone would either get what he/she wants or they would reach a compromise so that everyone would each gets a little bit of what he/she wants, hence, Animalism/Communism. However, if Napoleon was the only one who was making the decisions, everything would be geared toward what he wants, which goes against the fundamental aspect of Animalism/Communism.

Good Leaderz

A good leader should be able to communicate with the team. If the leader is willing and is able to receive ideas, form discussions, and direct the team in the right direction, then he/she is a good leader. All other qualities come second. Intelligence, creativity, etc., are all nice in a leader, but a leader does not need them. All a leader needs is to be able to work with and use the intelligence and/or creativity of a certain person. Leaders also need to be good debaters and speakers, as these qualities are necessary in order to convince group members that one idea is better than another. Lastly, a leader needs to be a good mediator, as group members will definitely argue occasionally, sometimes even about the most trivial subjects. The leader needs to be able to smooth things over so that the group can continue to move forward. A leader also needs be honest, confident, friendly, and empathetic, as these all boost the morale and productivity of the group overall. A sense of humor would also be a nice bonus.

Most importantly, a good leader has to look
